Advertorials

An advertorial is an ad and an article seamlessly rolled into one.

A blend of "advertisement" and "editorial" seamlessly woven into one, aadvertorial is a marketing tool designed to read like an article on a newspaper, magazine, or blog piece. The main goal of an advertorial is to promote a product, service, or brand in a way that doesn't feel like a traditional ad, but rather appears as useful, informative, or entertaining content.

Typically written in a journalistic style, they should  include product reviews, how-to guides, and images that subtly incorporate a promotional message. Often disclosed that they're sponsored content (commonly using a small disclaimer at the top of the page),  the line between editorial and advertising can sometimes be blurred, making them more engaging for readers.

Common in both print  and digital spaces, their "job" is  to create a  seamless experience for readers while promoting a brand or product.

Why Hire Me?

It takes a special set of skills to create a compelling story that engages the reader so they do not realize it's meant to ultimately sell them something. A great advertorial weaves the sales copy into the story so seamlessly that the reader doesn't even notice.

They're glued to the story and can't wait to read more!

I've been on both sides of the creative street---as a lifestyle reporter for 6 years and a copywriter for over a decade. These two skill sets have given me my super power---the ability to create original, engaging, and effective advertorials that help brands sell!

I have an enormous portfolio filled with advertorial content for brands from food to fashion, and everything in between.
